The Hara bag is our version of the "Tote Bag".
Etymologically, the word comes from the English "to tote", meaning "to carry". In the early 20th century, British letter carriers used such bags, which were lighter than a leather satchel, to deliver their mail.
The Hara bag is generously sized so that you can carry
laptop, groceries....
Its 3 interior pockets provide separate storage for keys, phone...
Made from a superb 60% organic cotton / 40% hemp fabric, it is available in various vegetable dyes.
A tone-on-tone cord is supplied in addition to the blue cord.
Hara bag fabric is woven in the Pays de Cocagne, in south-west France.
Its composition is particularly ecological: 60% organic cotton - 40% European hemp.
Its weight of 350gr/m2 will stand up to intensive use.

The dyes in this article were created using plant-based pigments.
Vegetable dyeing is at the heart of our philosophy and our commitment to creating greener products.
The main benefits are:
- Reduced ecological footprint: vegetable dyeing uses dyes extracted from plants, flowers, roots or bark, limiting the use of toxic chemicals found in synthetic dyes.
-Biodegradability: vegetable dye residues can be composted or easily treated, reducing water and soil pollution.
-Lower energy consumption: vegetable dyes are produced at lower temperatures than chemical dyes, so they require less energy.
To produce our colors, we use a variety of pigments: Pastel des Teinturiers, Indigo,
Vegetable Charcoal, Dyer's Madder, Chamomile, Walnut...
Vegetable dyeing is also a quest for "imperfect beauty" (Wabi-Sabi in Japanese).
Each dye bath produces slightly different shades, and your garment will develop a magnificent patina
over time.
To ensure colorfastness, our dyers use a conventional fixing process that is GOTS-certified.
